Amethyst & Emerald Geodes offers a stunning variety of both green and purple fruits. The sizes range from 2 1/2” – 4” and decrease as the plants mature. The majority of the fruits have a partially hollow interior, and when split like a geode, reveal a dazzling crystalline center in shades of amethyst and emerald. Growing up to 4 feet tall, these plants benefit from a trellis. The flavor has been carefully chosen to maintain a delicious blend of sweet and sour with a depth of umami that evokes notes of groundcherries and truffles.

KEY GROWING INFORMATION
Sow tomatillo seeds indoors in flats between March and early May, keeping them warm and well-watered. Once they have grown their first two true leaves, transplant the seedlings into 4" pots. After the danger of frost has passed, transplant them into the garden. It is important to have multiple tomatillo plants, as they are typically self-sterile and will benefit from cross-pollination. They are also known to self-seed.
