Dahlias tubers begin shipping chronologically in April according to receipt of orders.

If you purchase seeds or other products with your dahlia tubers, you will receive two shipments - a prompt shipment of available items, including your seeds, and a later shipment of tubers. The shipping fees shown at checkout will cover both deliveries.

Ordering Information & Quality Control

We grow dahlias for our flower subscriptions, markets, and own personal enjoyment! The varieties in our sale have been selected for beauty, productivity, and are suitable for cut flower production.

We are a small farm and therefore it isn’t feasible to complete lab testing for dahlia viruses. We have done our best to ensure we are providing you with healthy, high-quality dahlia tubers.

They are sold as single tubers or tuber clumps. Please note that tuber size and shape can vary vastly, dependent on variety type (some are huge, some are small - all will produce beautifully). Some tubers may still be dormant upon arriving, meaning that the eye(s) may not be prominent or easily viewed. If you feel the tubers you received are unsatisfactory upon arrival, please notify us within 24 hours. Claims will not be accepted after 5 days of the ship date: you are responsible for proper storage, planting, and care once you receive your viable tubers. 


Order Confirmations

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have entered the correct email and mailing address at checkout—we can’t be held responsible for any errors in the information you provide that result in items being sent to the wrong address. Cart items are not held—if you didn’t complete the checkout process and receive an Order Confirmation Email, your order has not been placed.

Due to restrictions with our e-commerce site, tubers (or any other item) will not be "safe" in your shopping cart until you have fully checked out. Popular varieties may disappear from your cart if there is low stock and other customers check out quicker than you. If you have your eye on a particular popular variety, be sure to check out quickly.

 

Shipping Costs

Priority Mail 2-Day™ Flat Rate Shipping: 

$10.65 - Small Box (1-3 tubers)

$19.15 - Medium Box (4-9 tubers)

$26.30 - Large Box (10+ tubers)

Any order that does not fit in the box for the number of tubers you ordered will be upgraded to a larger size at no additional cost to you.

Sorry, but due to insurance and business licensing reasons, local pick-up is not available for orders.


Receiving Your Tubers

When you receive your tubers, open the box immediately to check on them. Confirm that your order is correct. Storage medium is not included, so your order will need to be unpacked and moved to proper storage upon arrival if you are not planting right away. Keep your tubers in their bags in a frost-free area. Check on your tubers periodically to make sure they aren’t too wet/dry. 

Your tubers are live plants and may sprout during storage—this is normal! If sprouts appear, handle them gently to avoid breakage and plant them as soon as conditions allow.

Plant when the soil has warmed and all danger of frost has passed It’s best to avoid planting in wet weather, as tubers tend to rot in cold, wet soil.


Cancellations

We can’t make changes to existing orders once they have been placed. This includes changing items or adjusting quantities. 


Refund Policy

We make every effort possible to ensure your tubers are well-packed for transit, however, we can’t guarantee the safety of your tubers once they leave our farm.
If you are concerned about the quality of the tubers you’ve purchased from us, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving them, and provide clear photographs. No refunds, exchanges, or store credits will be issued after a 5-day period. Refunds will be made at our discretion. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Soil conditions and grower error can greatly impact the health of dahlias, and therefore we cannot offer any exchanges, store credits, or refunds after the tubers have been planted in your garden. While we care about your satisfaction with our tubers, please understand that tubers are perishable; weather, growing conditions, poor customer care, or pest damage are beyond on our control and we are unable to give refunds.

When your dahlias bloom, if they are somehow not true to the name as purchased, please contact us immediately and provide clear photographs. We have a deadline of 10/1/2025 to contact us (with photos) if you believe you received the wrong variety. Mistakes can happen, but we will always do our best to make it right - thank you for your trust, your kindness and your support!
