Nigella - Miss Jekyll Rose
Nigella - Miss Jekyll Rose
Despite its seemingly fragile appearance, nigella is one of the most resilient and earliest bloomers in the garden. This stunning plant boasts graceful fern-like leaves and delicate star-shaped flowers clustered against a backdrop of delicate, fringed foliage. With buds that resemble rich chocolate, the semi-double flowers begin as a beautiful bicolor of rose and white but develop into a deep plum hue as they mature, eventually giving way to unique red-striped seedpods. The tips of the foliage also add a touch of bronze to the overall appearance.
